5 Things You May Of Missed In The Latest Pokémon Sword & Shield Trailer

Whilst everyone is eagerly anticipating any further news on the latest Pokémon game, Sword and Sheild, lets look over 10 possible things you missed in the latest trailer!

1. Mystery Pokémon Statues

These strange figures spotted in the background of a landscape image have peaked some fans curiosty. So far only a handful of Gen 8 Pokémon have been annouced, are these two figures more additions to the Gen 8 roster or something else entirely? The Pokémon have hinted at a possible 3rd Gen 8 legendary along side Zacian & Zamazenta.

2. Cramorant’s Fish Friend

Is Cramorants attack really another Gen 8 Pokémon?

Cramorants ‘Gulp’ ability see’s him spit a suspiciously well designed ‘fish’ at his enemies in Pokémon Sword and Shield.

This has fans thinking it may in fact be its own Pokémon unto itself. possibly Gen 8’s answer to Magicarp? that waits to be seen.

3. ‘Pokémon Go’ Style Customization

Pokémon Sword and Shield appears to put effort into customization.

Alongside the improved character customization featured in Pokémon Sword and Shield, which now allows you to customize all elements of your character, they have also added what appears to be in game Brands.

Whether these in-game brands will play any role in the game or whether it is purely to give you more of a realistic shopping feel by enabling you to kit your character out in a specific brands outfit is yet to be seen, but a cool addition non the less.

4. League Cards

League Cards will allow you to showcase your personality

The League Cards where featured in the trailer but are also on the Pokémon website.

League Cards will allow you to keep momentos of other trainers that you encounter aswell as allowing you to create your own using Rotomi’s Card Maker function.

Hopefully this will have network cross over and allow players from around the world to trade each others League Cards!

5. Secret Default Trainer Meaning

Victor & Gloria

As Pokémon Sword & Shield is meant to be set in the a British Isles inspired land of Galar, it is only fitting that its default trainer names are rumoured to be taken from the British National Anthem.

“Send her VICTORious, happy and GLORI(A)ous.”

It will be interesting to see what other nods to British culture the game will feature, the trainer name is accompanied by Polteagiest and the addition of Curry making!
